When Two Cultures Become One

Robbie & Yins Royal Wedding Day

Argueably one of the most gorgeous settings for a wedding would be The Royal Melbourne Yauht Club in Williamstown.
Not to mention the beautiful bride and her handsome groom.
I loved writing this ceremony for so many reasons. Robbie and Yin were so in love and their love story was so incredibly unique, I felt very emotional while performing. The guests participated by singing one of the couple’s favourite songs ‘Alive’ by Empire of the sun. I can’t describe what an impact it makes during a ceremony when the entire crowd begins singing together, there is a certain sense of pride, I think that’s what it is. Also I wrote and spoke small parts of the ceremony in Chinese which was a highlight for me. There were around 100 guests who were all english speaking apart from Yin’s mum and dad who had a translator.
My husband and I were lucky enough to be invited to attend the wedding which rocked on to the wee hours of the morning and saw Yin adorn another beautiful gown which was bejewelled with colour and fun.
Due to the privacy of my clients you won’t be able to veiw any photographs of this ceremony.
